Lately we've been noticing that many of our customers like to use the sheets in a reading corner. What a fun idea, and relatively easy to achieve!
A mattress and some pillows along with your- and your kids favorite books and there you have it!
Alexandra, aka @dein_kinderkram is a real expert when it comes to reading corners. We've asked her a few questions.
- What inspired you to create a reading corner for your kids?
"Sometimes, when I enter the kidsroom, my two girls are sitting together with a book in their little hands, discussing about the pictures. I wanted to create a cosy place for them to withdraw and relax".
- What's your best tip for styling a reading corner?
"
Lots of pillows for the cosiness and a bookshelf which makes it easy for the kids to reach the books".
- What's your favorite books at the moment?
"
My Girls are fascinated by the books „little people, big dreams“ published by @inselverlag, especially the one about Frida Kahlo".
In her home Alexandra is using the terracotta pink seashells and our moroccan blue seashells sheet.
If you look at her Instagram account you will see that these corners are changing quite often- which is also the fun part. Try out different arrangements, play around, and why not involve the kids? More often than not- they know best.
